When journalist Robert Reckliss recieves a strange little copper box from his old college friend Adam Hale as well as a mysterious phone call, he has no idea what he is getting himself into. His life is going to hcange completely. Somewhere in Manhattan a weapon is hidden that could destroy the world in seven days. He is the only person able to avoid that. To be able to do that he has to undergo seven trials, solve seven and find seven keys. In the race against the clock he has help from his Watchman and the mysterious Terri but he is also hunted by his opponents, the Jwnw, who are out to stop him from completing his task.
